Therapeutic Approach

Bob’s therapeutic approach focuses on the client’s relationship with him/herself with the aim of facilitating the client’s ability to be more present with what they are experiencing. He supports clients to access and express their inner life. In doing this, the client discovers more of who they are, what they value, what they want, and how to actualize who they are in the world.

Bob also focuses on the relationship of the client to others in their life. His aim is to help people explore the ways they relate that are open and connected as well as the ways where they get stuck or inhibit themselves and each other. This allows the client to be more aware of and to take fuller responsibility for healthier ways of relating.

Regardless of whether it is individual, couple, family, or group therapy, Bob supports his clients to stay present with what is of concern to them in the moment, and freshly explore it. By engaging in this process, week in and week out, clients discover new ways of thinking, feeling, and acting that are healthier and more fulfilling.
